New photos
Here are some new photos from the month of March, including my parents going to Thailand. They went on their first trip without me for four days while I stayed with grandma in Taiwan. I was a very good girl the whole time and played with grandma and my uncle and aunt a lot.
Pop Pop Weasel!
I like playing "Pop Goes the Weasel" where I spin around my parents until I get really dizzy and collapse. I request the game by saying, "Pop pop weasel!"
Story Time!
Today we went to a children's bookstore for their Story Time. I liked singing "Bingo", and reading "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly."
Didgeridoo
Yesterday we went to the museum of archeology, a place that had a lot of pieces of things archaeologists dug up in an area near here. I had a lot of fun running around the museum, climbing up on benches and looking at thousand-year old artifacts. There was also a didgeridoo performance by an Austrailian aboriginal performer. I liked the funny sounds it was making and was clapping my hands to the music.

After the museum, we took a walk along the Tamsui river and saw a Taiwanese opera performance in front of an old temple. This is an art form that is slowly dying because young people aren't as interested in it anymore. It was really cool for us though.

Chocolate! (qiaokeli)
I am so amazing that I can say words my parents have never taught me. Yesterday, I saw a small piece of dark brown sugar cube and said "qiaokeli", which means "chocolate" in Chinese. My parents were stunned because they had never given me chocolate before. Then today, I saw a small piece of candy at the front desk of our apartment building and said "tangguo", which means "candy" in Chinese. Again, this is something my parents have never given me, and they have never taught me to say the word. They didn't learn until later today that at my daycare, other older kids (my new best friends) have been giving my candy and chocolates. My mean parents then told the teachers to put a stop to it.

Boo Boo Belly!
I am growing well here. So much so that I am getting a big Buddha belly. I can't say "Buddha belly" very well yet. Instead, I point to my tummy and say, "Boo boo belly!"

Ballerinas!
On Sunday we went to a Ballerina birthday party. All the girls had tutus on. I loved dressing up in the pink frilly dresses and especially loved all the dress up shoes. At one point, I was wearing two different pairs of high heeled princess shoes. How is a girl to decide on which shoes go with the tutu?
Sunday was also my dad's birthday. We went out to dinner at a restaurant located historical building in Danshui. The food was very good. I ate a lot. People now say I am becoming a chubby little girl. But I am still an angel.

Happy 23rd Month Birthday to Me!
I am almost two years old! It's been over a year since I've started recording my everyday life. Boy, what a year it has been! We have had a fantastic Chinese New Year and lots of things have happened in the past month.
The most amazing thing that we did this month was we went to a Lantern Festival celebration in a place called Pingsi in Taipei County. There we were able to see lanterns filled with New Years wishes set off into the sky like colorful hot air balloons. Lantern Festival is celebrated differently in different areas of Taiwan. This one was breathtakingly beautiful. Photos don't do it justice.
